Thursday 9th July 2020. These past few months have been a difficult time for everyone involved with our karate association. The economic climate within the UK has never been so uncertain. With a bit of luck now we are getting nearer to opening up our clubs and training centres once again. Training will be slightly different from the normal training sessions we were accustomed to before and we will have to be more aware of our students safety. Our main priority is everyone's safety at our dojo's when training sessions resume, which will hopefully be very soon.
So, what is going to alter during our training sessions? Students will be asked to use hand sanitiser gel before, during and after training sessions and students who are training will have to arrive in their karate uniform as there will be no getting changed at the club. Throughout training sessions kiai's will not be used and students will keep their distance from fellow students. There will be no pairing up for kumite drills until we are informed it is safe to proceed as normal. Students who are training are also requested to arrive shortly before training commences with no loitering beforehand. This also applies to Parents and Guardians collecting and dropping off their Children from training.
Thursday 16th July 2020. Since our clubs have been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic Sensei Rob has had much more spare time on his hands. So, rather than waste this time he thought it best to use it to further his knowledge and teaching practices. Below you will find some extra online courses that Sensei Rob has successfully completed in an attempt to keep all his students safe and in the knowledge that Sensei Rob is going above and beyond with his teaching practices. As an Instructor the journey never ends, always learning and improving. Oss everyone!
