Sensei Sophie Sice, 2nd Dan.
Sensei Sophie Sice started her Shotokan Karate journey in 2005, at a local community group in Leeds run by Sensei Rob Taylor. A few years later, the community group closed, and Sophie followed on with her training at Sensei Rob’s own dojo in Leeds. It soon became noticeable that Sensei Sophie was a great asset to the club, and soon after became an assistant instructor and began taking on club secretarial duties. Sophie is very experienced in teaching children, due to her been a fully qualified gymnastic coach. In which she is very keen on passing on her knowledge and experience to younger students. In regards to her teaching, Sophie’s biggest ambition is to get the best out of every student and to watch them grow and become future champions. Sporting Background: Sensei Sophie has a gymnastics and cheerleading background, which shows in her amazing flexibility and kicks. Sophie started training in cheerleading at the age of 4, when her coaches seen her fantastic flexibility and dedication. At the age of 12 Sophie was picked to represent her country at the World Championships in Orlando, Florida. Sophie has also won many European and National Championships in her Dance, Cheerleading and Gymnastics career.
